Huanglong is a UNESCO-listed scenic valley in northern Sichuan, known for its stepped travertine pools, forested slopes and snow-capped mountain backdrop. Walking routes climb through changing landscapes towards the colourful pools of Huanglonggou, with temples and waterfalls along the way. The high altitude and natural setting make Huanglong a striking complement to nearby Jiuzhaigou on journeys through the region.
