Lanzhou

Discover Lanzhou

A Closer Look at Lanzhou

Lanzhou follows the banks of the Yellow River through the mountains of Gansu and has long connected routes across north-western China. Visit the provincial museum for an introduction to Silk Road history, walk along the riverfront and try the city’s celebrated hand-pulled beef noodles. Its transport links and regional character make Lanzhou a practical starting point for exploring the wider Hexi Corridor.
